Quotations, and Phrases with Perspective or Reality-Check

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice. --- Henry Ford.

Ask not what your country can do for you; [instead ask] what can you [I] do for your [my] country], that is to say The United States of America especially if you are a Citizen of the U.S.A. or live here simply] ---- Ted. Kennedy, Former Senator of The U.S.A..

Ask not what your offspring can do for you; instead ask what can you do for them? Don’t just send them into sweet or salty waters with sharks. Equip your children with the power of organized knowledge to swim with the sharks and make sound decisions in light of the fact that the All American youngster on the average (tends to) values independence and knows it all like you and I did during our teenage years. Remember we thought we knew it all which is normal human development process. So equip them; equip them to use guidance principle instead of being blindly loyal to just one particular person who may be a loose cannon or a misguided missile metaphorically speaking. Teach them and encourage them to learn to raise questions, to question authority figures intelligently when their decisions and actions seems unjust, dangerous or or otherwise economically unsound; teach them individual thinking that protects the constitution of The United States of America. Teach them that unquestionable respect with the fear of questioning authority figures may be as dangerous as group-think (cult-thinking). Equip our children with the knowledge of habits and behavior not just with key advisers. Like during Queen Victoria era in England after her parents died, the United Kingdom was under her Queenship. She had many advisers to fill-in the gaps of her lack of experience since she was only 12 or 13 years old at the time. However, she made the decisions based on their soundness. Advisor did do precisely that -- advised her to tell her what to do. Her parents most have done a phenomenal job early on equipping her with the information on sound habits and principles prior to their death. Therefore, may I suggest that which is most likely obvious to all but fearful to some parents who are interested in keeping their children smaller than themselves and under their thumb that it is best to equip them with the information about sound principles to guide their individual personal decisions and plans to achieve their dreams and goals for a better world and for richly abundant, peaceful and prosperous, and healthy life with their friends, their relatives (distanced and immediate) and loved ones and whoever else he or she views as family? --- Rom Antony Day

You can fly over obstacles, go around them, go under them, go over them or bust right through them.--- Norman Vincent Peale.

If you await for some one to tell you when they [challenges or problems] come without having prepared prior to the announcement of their arrival, it may be too late for you to respond successfully this time around. Prepare in advance; prepare your mind; it is just like when a soldier goes to war, the soldier does not have time to look for a guide or operations manual about what to do in the midst of enemy fire, they most have prepared before it and know what to do for the simplest to the most complicated of decisions-making be it to recharge the ammunition on a shut-gun machine,, how to and when to ambush or when to retreat. Fortify your mind with solid principle, values, guideposts etc that will prepare you for the now and future decision making process, thus making wiser decisions than one would have otherwise. --Rom Antony Day.
