An Open Mind

Richness of life: An Open Mind on All Subjects

One of the riches of life described by Napoleon Hill is, in his book titled You Can Work Your Own Miracles and in the multitude of other books he authored, an open mind on all subjects. However, be cautious.

You want to guard your mind, which I would call an inner confidential temple or palace, from “garbage.” The old computer-related saying illustrated how come; garbage-in leads to garbage-out. You can get printed only what is fed into the computer – nothing better than it; granted that it could be a lot less quality if the printer is not too great.

Similarly, there are things you want to prevent from entering your mind. And whatever you open your mind to, you ought to think about accurately. You can put on your critical or skeptic thinking cap any time.

We are fortunate to have received via Napoleon Hill from Andrew Carnegie and his many colleagues one of the paramount principles to manage our God-given richness referred to as open-mindedness. I will cover this principle another time.
