I first wrote this article especially for my teenage daughter in 2007. She is now a university student also working to help pay her own way through the university with the help of the USA Federal Government via Student Financial Aide Pell Grant(s) and such. Now I updated just today this article, which resulted in a firth edition, which I hope is useful to many people.

I think it is an efficiency button metaphorically speaking to be able to have a set of individual personal habits which any body can develop, if they would like to if not innate, to achieve just about any kind of riches of life be it to reach revenue, income, education, and health goals for example. Napoleon Hill in his writings from the hundreds of highly successful American whom he was put in contact with by Andrew Carnegie, who incidentally donated much of his financial wealth to the creation of public libraries, lists and describes a list of twelve riches of life; they are outlined next.

The book Master key to Riches written by Napoleon Hill discloses to us all 12 riches of life (revised edition copyright 1965; pp. 15 to 26). As I am sure you can add others, these twelve are the ones he found in his interviews with hundreds of business leaders whom he was introduced to in the U.S.A. by the Scottish businessman who came to the USA penniless, Andrew Carnegie, and later on built the biggest empire in the steel industry who donated great wealth to many causes specially the start-up of libraries around the U.S.A:

A positive mental attitude.

Sound physical and mental health.

Harmony in human relationships.

Freedom from fear.

The hope of achievement.

The capacity for faith.

Willingness to share one's blessings.

A labor of love; in other words doing work you like to do.

An open mind on all subjects. But, be cautious because 'on all subject' does not on every thing. It rather means, on the best subjects, which are maybe of interest to you; 'all' here has the technical meaning like it does in the words 'All American' --which means the best American-- team(s). That is just the intricacy and high level of accuracy the English language facilitates. Therefore, with that in mind --about what 'on all subjects' means--, it behooves the individual to guard his or her own mind from certain information he or she doesn't want entering his or her own mind. There are things you want to keep away from entering your mind. And whatever you allow to, you ought to think about accurately and strategically. Accurately, meaning you are able to distinguish facts away from fiction or mere opinion. And from the facts, you are able to determine which ones are important to, and which ones are not, consider with making a decision. Strategic in terms of is it safe; is it the shortest path to getting results valuable to you. Sometimes although one might be accurately right about something, it is better to let it go for it would be the safer and thus strategic thing to do to attain a result preferable to you. You can also be strategic but not accurate, which is a combination that could turn out as dangerous or problematic as an combo of 'accurate but not strategic' thought process.

Self Discipline.

The capacity to understand people. This involves the nine key emotions, which I will address in other articles.

Economic security.
