The annual salary for the President of the USA at the present time is $400,000.00 per year plus $50,000.00 per year for what would be called in business for chief Executive Officers or an Executive Salesperson an expense-account. This total $450,000.00 per year; the $50,000.00 is not taxable at all. As you can see after serving for four years as President of the United States of America, the same President would have earned a total of $450,000.00 multiplied by four, which equals to $1,800,000.00.
In addition to the one-million and eight-hundred thousand dollars earned during a four-year term, a retired president will receive in the form of a pension instead of social security benefits which calculated at the current annual salary rate would be approximately $199,700.00 U.S. Dollars per annum according to the economic times on an article dated April 7th, 2010. That is a pension of about $16,641.666 or after this figure is rounded up to the nearest decimal point it would be about $16,642.00 per month for the rest of his or her life.
